That the environment in which we grow up in has a huge impact on our present sense of achievement but it doesn’t have to stay. The sessions with Tanya, have helped me focus and push through procrastination. I am headed on the right path now. Before it was just a dream, then an idea. Now I am doing it!

“I have known Tanya as a friend for a while, however, last year, my life changed dramatically, I needed someone who could provide love, understanding but also tools to navigate a very challenging personal situation.
Tanya became my personal coach and helped me through, what so far, has been the most difficult time in my life. We kept a regular schedule, though she had a specific purpose at each of our meetings, she adjusted her approach based on what was bothering me. The meetings were recorded with my permission and after our meetings, she summarized the points we discussed which was helpful, as I was able to look back and reflect on the notes. This helped me tremendously because I was very emotional at some of our sessions and wouldn’t remember all that we discussed.
Since then, I have been able to use these tools in personal but also professional aspects of my life. “Tanya’s sessions were very helpful!. At the time I was at a loss as to how to deal with certain recurring emotions in my life and the sessions helped to peel back the layers. You will learn techniques to help guide you when you are in new situations that illicit the same types of emotional responses and be better equipped to recognize and react to them.
Many emotions may come up during sessions but with Tanya frequently checking in with you and providing time and space to reflect on what is happening you will receive the support you need. I feel more aware of what triggers me emotionally and can reflect on feelings and actions more consciously.
If she tells you to journal….do it!! Best advice both for reflecting and remembering events as they unfolded. This has a huge impact as you can go back and view events with a critical and calmer mindset but also allows you to remember what you felt in the moment.

“Tanya was a treat to work with. I appreciated how she always met me where I was (mentally and emotionally) without judgement. If I was ready to work on my goals, she was ready with gentle guidance on next steps. If something else was present for me and needed attention first, she was ready with tools to help me move through whatever it was with loving acceptance. It was a treat to work with someone who I trusted to teach me how to notice my emotions and how to move through them- many tools I still use, especially the breath work, and the visualizations of feeling blocked or stuck.
One of my favourite parts that I integrated into my life was asking the question “what’s been fantastic for you this week?” I remember feeling so thrown off by the question, but just loved the mental shift. I started asking that question myself to friends and family and it really shifted not only what we talked about, but also how we related to each other. Love it!!
Tanya often would use my own words said back to me, which made me feel really heard and understood, and also helped to keep me motivated! At the end of each session, I would get a transcript of what was said so I could refer back to it throughout the week. I was often left with homework tasks to complete throughout the week, and always with the instruction of noticing what feelings come up if I felt blocked on a task. It was very useful.
It was amazing to go back 6 months later to review the defined goals from my first session and to realize how far I had moved towards achieving those goals without really noticing. Shifts in mindset and how I relate to myself were some of my biggest takeaways.
